Plaza Suite brings a trifecta of comedy to Broadway next year: Neil Simon, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Matthew Broderick. The three-act play comes to the Great White Way’s Hudson Theatre on February 25, 2022. The work was scheduled to begin previews on March 13 of last year, but Broadway theaters began shutting down just the day before. The play now has about a month of previews scheduled; opening night will be March 28.

Plaza Suite follows the lives of three pairs of guests in a hotel’s luxurious suite on three separate occasions: Karen and Sam are a long-married pair whose relationship may be headed for an early checkout. Muriel and Jesse are former high school sweethearts who seem destined for an extended stay. And Norma and Roy are the mother and father of the bride, ready to celebrate their daughter’s nuptials — if only they can get her out of the bathroom. This uproarious and piercing look at love and marriage brings Parker (a two-time Emmy winner) and Broderick (a two-time Tony winner) back to Broadway for the first time in two decades.

The revival of this Neil Simon classic is directed by John Benjamin Hickey, who was most recently on Broadway in The Inheritance. Hickey won a Tony Award for his role in the Broadway revival of The Normal Heart and is also nominated for his work in The Inheritance.

Plaza Suite is produced by Ambassador Theatre Group Productions, Gavin Kalin Productions and Hal Luftig. The production premiered at the Emerson Colonial Theater in Boston; tickets for the upcoming Broadway run are now on sale.
